A NOISY neighbour has been fined £1,860 for playing his music too loud following a series of complaints from Hatfield residents.
Mr Kanengoni, of Cotton Field, South Hatfield, failed to appear at Watford Magistrates Court for the hearing, but was found guilty of causing a nuisance and distress to his neighbours in his absence.
The defendant was served a noise abatement notice in January 2009, following repeated complaints about excessive loud music to the council.
He was fined £525 for breaching the order, and ordered to pay full costs of £1,860 at the hearing on Monday, February 8.
