Well, it occurred to me that not only songs do it for me, but also films - cringe, I'm saying!!

Just a few to start:

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - I can't stand any of the characters or the naff cinematography

Mary Poppins - I hate Mary Poppins' boots & umbrella and the Chimney Sweep song 8-X - yuk!

Grease 2 - CHRONIC 'singing' (actually I didn't make it to the end of that one)

Batman (ditto 'Grease 2' ie didn't make it to the end). Couldn't make any of it out cos it all looked foggy.

Grease

Look Who's Talking Too

ANY of those awful 'PeeWee' film things?

Spice World - Saw ten minutes of this, truly awful. :hihi:

Spice World....gotta agree (only saw about 10 mins too...quite enough!) :hihi: :hihi:

But how can you say that about "Sound of Music", Matthew?? I saw that film about 20 times - maimly due to my gran working at the cinema at the time, it was her favourite film...and there wern't many films on at any one time in "those days" :P

Strangely (or not), I also fell asleep in Batman2.... ;)

Id nominate Grease2 as the worst film of all time frankly ...it it the absolute pits. so that one is top of my list.

also hate sound of music, too long and too syrupy sweet.

and chitty chitty bang bang (absolutely vomit making espeically that 'truly scrumptious' song 8-X

agree spice world is extremely cringeworthy especially as they actually had decent actors like Richard E Grant and still it was a big pile of steaming stuff!

I actually really didnt like 'theres something about mary'.. i totally cringed when the bloke got his bits caught in his zip and that other gross scene with mary's hair, if you have seen the film you will know what i am talking about....8-X :sicky: too nasty for a respectable forum like this!

great thread!

ooh yes holly, james bond makes me cringe as well.

I cringed BIG TIME at Coronation Street, I know it doesnt quite fit this thread, but when Dev and Deirdre had their little fling, I thought it was the grossest thing ever. In fact whenever Dev starts slobbering over any woman I have to look away for the cringemungousness!

8-X: wow ::ill:

I've seen a few terrible films. some that come to mind:

The Blair Witch project. I fell asleep after 10 minutes and didnt wake up until 20 minutes before the end. Very confusing!!

Scorcher - just the most hysterically bad horror movie of all time. Its so bad its funny!

Honey I shrunk the kids - Do I have to say any more????

I'd vote for the teenage mutant ninja turtles films as the worst films ever  .....

I hated "rocky" too...terrible!

Haven't watched many really bad films..
[that i can remember right now]
...coz if i decide to watch a film i have probly already decided i'm gonna enjoy it, and will ;)

I think "i still know what you did last summer" would probly have to be right up there with the most cringe-worthy films i've seen too...

I think most hollywood "same-old" type bubblegum films make me cringe...won't even consider watch them.

..or wait .. "anaconda" truely imbarrasingly bad film...they roll around with what looks like a dogs squeaky toy pretending its a snake....theres only so much acting ppl in it could manage ...

oh now i'm thinking "streetfighter" film , "super mario bros", most things on channel five :P ...ouch!

Hmmm

Back to the Spice Girls movie... haven't seen it all the way through, but found it strangely fascinating, mostly agog at the naff clothes they wore

Wasn't Abba the Movie just as naff? I did see it, but don't remember much about it (well, was a mere nipper then).

I used to love Grease (but never Grease 2), but having seen it again the other day, I found myself really cringeing at it - oooh the acting's so dire and the script too  . Perhaps I'm just a grown up now??

James Bond - yuk, but at least it's meant to be cringemaking (isn't it? ;) )

Flintstones & Scooby Doo - YUK - hate animation that's gone all 'human-ified'

:D

hehe we have a good guide in this house, if i manage to stay awake through the whole film then it was pretty decent, if i'm sat on the edge of my seat most of the way through then it was *good* lolz
