How delicious is that Christmas pudding! Over several years I've not been able to eat these due to the high sugar levels, but not this year. Piping hot with cream. Magic!
And the cooking...
- Home made pudding then steam: 6 Hours
- Ready made then steam: 2 hours
- Readymade then microwave: 3 minutes
Wow, thank goodness for modern appliances!

Ahhh the Norfolk Broads,
Brings back memories of my older sisters ex. Mister I know what I'm doing, don't need advice off anyone.
His idea to go on a boating holiday. My sis and him and daughter, my partner and me. My sister cannot swim. He insisted on getting the flash looking sporty type of boat. We spent the first week drifting near the bank, smoke bellowing out every where. Why? because he'd :drive: run into the bank on a regular basis, clogging the engine.
A hours wait for help, he then starts a arguement with the guys. The next week we decided to go further. My sister said were she wanted to go. One we had no lights so could not travel at night. It's now that we find out that the size of boat we have, will only fit under one of the bridges. Lets go there then, why not?. The only time it will fit under the bridge, is 2.30 in the morning. Never went on a holiday with them again.
GG. :drive:

Anyone see that BBC 1 'Christmas Accidents' programme in December or whatever it was called? Where one lady cooked her Xmas Pud for about an hour in the microwave?

:hihi: :hihi: we had christmas puds in the cupboard but we didnt get round to eating them at xmas, surprise surprise, so hubby has been eating them these past few days and he can recommend somerfields pud, he says its lovely and light.
as for norfolk, i have distant cousins in oulton broad, quite nice over there i think. wouldnt mind doing a boat holiday round there but not really hubbys thing..can see him also driving the boat into the bank routinely and getting very wound up!!!
and as for going on holiday with relatives...no way! i have had holidays with in laws and own family and there are only a very few of them that i would be able to holiday with again...and only if they were in separate hotels quite a distance away!!!

Makes you wonder what she did with her turkey
 @BC!!
My OH used to love Xmas pud (can't stomach it any more due to his treatment though  ) and it was a revelation to him too that you can plonk it in the micro for literally a couple of minutes . Such a relief to know you don't have to spend hours in the kitchen after your Xmas dinner blow-out! :D
I hate the stuff though and the smell! 8-X
Give me a nice big trifle anyday (plenty cream!) :eat:
