One of the women pretended to be a hostage during the raid
Two Aberdeen women who helped to stage a post office robbery in Edinburgh have received custodial sentences.
Linda Brown, 25, and Kelly Urquhart, 20, admitted taking part in the £11,000 Blackhall Post Office raid in November.
Brown pretended to be a hostage when a masked man entered the shop and grabbed her, while Urquhart held the door. The postmaster handed over the money.
At Edinburgh Sheriff Court, Brown and Urquhart were sentenced to 10 and 12 months in custody respectively.
The court previously heard the pair had both been working as prostitutes and owed money for drugs to a man called Adrian Brosnan.
