That's very interesting. When I was married we had a (home-made) bed which was 6 foot wide, with an extremely firm mattress on a wooden slatted base. What was good about it was that we never disturbed each other because there were no vibrating springs, and we came together, night or early morning, when we wanted to. But we did fight over the duvet and we had different heat needs, so I would recommend two duvets per double bed. Had one of us "toddled down the corridor" before sleeping, the early morning cuddles (etc) would have been less spontaneous . . . . ;)

Have to agree which is why its superking for me ;)
I sleep with my dogs *blush* and they let me have as much bed or duvet as I tell them to, or even get off if asked to :D, partners are less easy to train ;).
I agreed with Jaybird though, I have friends who have double beds but they each have their own duvet so they can each have all the duvet and different tog values for different heat preferences
