Oh god this house and water, what is it about this house and water.

Came home everything perfectly fine, clean the kitchen floor, could here like a jumbo jet landing in my kitchen  Ok don't panic, so went upstairs and checked all the taps were off and they were, check the kitchen ones, yeap they are off as well, went back upstairs to the bathroom and I could definately hear water running. Came back down went outside and oh my god, the tape that we have outside was tuned off, but the pipe connecting it to the water supply had come undone, well I must say it did look comical, as there was this great arch of water coming up and running down the wall and into the drain, phoned Hubby he said there is a tape inside to turn it of. Ok I can do this, found the tape :D could not turn it off :( phoned Hubby again, he had to leave work, as I could not even turn off the tape for the water supply to the house. :(

So had a bath and washed my hair in cold water, then bingo had an idea WD40 (Nice neighbour swears by this stuff, so I got a tin yonks ago) no no could still not get the tape inside to turn off. Gave up had tea, Hubby came home and guess what, yeap he turn the tape off straight away, mind you he was happy as he was not supposed to finish work until 2am, and he was home by 8pm.

Ok fine, lets do the washing:D, then again, perhaps not, :( the washing machine has gone phut again! :o Its making the most awful noise.

Isis shakes her head in disbelief, what is with this house and water! What a fun evening I have had, not.

Get a canoe? ;)
Sorry to hear you've had a lousy day, hope it's better tomorrow :)
Re your tap, I know how to change the wheel on a car but in practise I never can because I can never shift the wheel nuts.
Equality is all very well but "brute" (:p) strength has it's advantages sometimes .

Oh dear Isis what a fun time you must have had; men are useful sometimes ;)

Reminds me of the time Mr O went to change my en suite sink tap, he had taken it off twice before without turning the water off so one more time wouldn't make any difference.....................wrong as he took the top of the tap off all of a sudden we had a forceful spout of water coming out of the tap all up the walls in fact everywhere in the en suite!!!! I could hear him coming down the stairs I thought he was falling down as he was running so fast  pushed me to one side and went the to mains under the sink to turn it off. Took an age to soak up the excess water the carpet flooring was so dden wet!!!! I did ask "what was wrong" ..... and I did get an answer

He looked quite comical as he was soaked in water what was a light denim shirt was now dark as he was drenched it was running down his face too  Hmmm me thinks he has learnt one serious lesson with water
