A dispute over seven square yards of grass is set to cost two neighbours a small fortune in legal costs after a judge agreed the case should be heard in the second highest court in the country.

According to Dr Robert Welding, the slice of lawn in question should belong to him as Land Registry plans show it lies within the limits of the £470,000 property in the Charlton Kings area of Cheltenham which he bought in 2006.
But restaurateur Martin Charalambous, 49, insists the land has always been within the 'historic boundary' of his house, which he bought in 2002 for £370,000.
