I was shocked to see this on the news as my elderly aunt and uncle are on this cruise. They were so looking forward to the cruise and were excited. I have heard that my uncle has the virus and is confined with his wife to their cabin and being given medical attention and water, and also that my auntie has said she is just waiting to be next. My cousin, their daughter, is keeping me updated.

I remember when we went on our Caribbean cruise we were questioned at the airport and asked if we'd had any symptoms during the previous 2 weeks of upset stomachs; we hadn't but surely anyone who was looking forward to a 1,2 or even 3 week cruise would not admit to something like that, so it is very easy for someone to take the virus on board a ship

I hope that the people suffering recover from this awful virus.

Yes we were asked the same questions when we went on our crusies, just a precaution they say.

Hope they get better soon Omega, i've had Norwalk (think that's how you spell it!!) and it really is unpleasant, but totally recoverable from.
