Copy of Sent Items in PM Box

Not a very exciting poll, but needed to check anyway. B)

When you're using the Personal Messenger, you'll notice this line is ticked/checked by default in the box, e.g:


Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder

So, you always get a copy saved of a PM you're sending if you forget and it happens automatically.

Personally, I find this a bit annoying and have to keep unchecking the box - we can set the default to not save a copy (but you'd have to remember to check it if a copy is needed then) - but what do people want?

I'll change the default in the files if the majority want it changed. :D

Well, my PM space overfloweth, and anything that reduces that is good! As long as I have the option to save if I need to, I'm happy :D :D

if it was the other way round I would forget to keep a copy if I needed to, head like a sieve!!

Yep, it's a bit of a pain having to go and delete them from time to time to free up space, so I don't mind if it's turned off. :)

What about if members could set it themselves - then those that want it can switch it on, the rest can keep it turned off - is that a possibility? just wondering cos we can alter other settings to suit? :unsure: :D

Unfortunately, we can't do that at the moment, but there is a possibility that may be an option in future. :)

There is the ability to archive all messages that are sent and received. I usually archive them when I get to about 20. They are sent to your email account. Then the box is emptied and you still have copies of sent/received pms.

I voted "no" because I don't feel the need for it. However, if the vote is that close and about half want it kept, I think the kindest thing would be to leave it as it is.

Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder has now been changed for the default Gold/Green/Cream skin only.

So the default setting is now on this skin, that the checkbox is unchecked and you won't auto keep a PM copy in your sentbox. For this skin, you'll need to place a tick in the box to save a copy of any outgoing PM's you want to keep. :D
