I got a bog standard sizzix machine (red one) a few years ago off of ebay and I use it at Christmas for cutting baubles and stuff but nothing too fancy.

so ....I have been visiting this week; family, and someone (my mum) has bought themselves a big shot machine!!
but only one die :D a body!

I have been searching the old ebay ;) and got her some clothes to put on her dress up body

at the mo she cant really use the machine due to an arm issue, and I got the honor of playing with it first :clap2:

Big shots are fun but I can see why being one handed she is having probs using it as you have to make a sandwich with the boards the card and the die.

I have been making ballerinas  she thinks they are smashing, I cut lots as she can manage to do the glueing herself. (and I snuck a few home in my suitcase  )

she has been on the phone to me tonight saying...you know that machine I have got? is there any chance you can have a look on that site (she means ebay) to get A B and C

problem is I have now re-discovered the sizzix bug  and have made loads of bids on ebay for stuff I possibly dont really need  and I thought while I am at it I can cut some card stock and maybe flog it on ebay myself and raise some funds for here

I have ended up sticking a large peice of felt around the sizzix handle as my hands are getting really sore, thank goodness for double sided tape

the other problem is I have I lent my mum most of my dies until she gets her own, so I have 3 here :D

do any of you use sizzix and if you do what are your favorite dies?
:daisy:

I have a Sizzix machine Beth [the big heavy old red one] I actually prefer it to the Big Shot :). I have far too many dies for it :rolleyes: and was going to sell some on Ebay but they are going for practically nothing now during the credit crunch :(

I have the large and small bodies, hair, clothes, and loads & loads of the others.

Is there anything in particular you had in mind or were looking for ? :)

I am blaming my mum entirely  her having that doll reminds me of those dolls you used to get in twinkle and such other comics, you cut the clothes out and you attached them with little tags over their shoulders, do you remember them?

Mum is wanting a dress die that maybe could be used for a wedding dress for a dress up doll (and anything else she can get her hands on I think :D )
and I am currently bidding on some bitty bodies and bitty clothes

I won a bitty dress last night, and currently am bidding on a body and some hair and some shoes and I think a dungeree set  cant really recall, and the think is I dont really need them ;) but as you say, ebay is a buyers market at the mo  and I have just been reimbursed by my mum for all the dies I have bought her recently, so I thought hey what the heck

saying that last night I was sniped and the winner payed too much IMHO, as I have seen the same dies on a shop web site at less than he/she paid for them and with free P&P ;)

So do you cut and sell anywhere sp? or is it for your own card use?

I used to sell the die cuts on Ebay Beth and did quite well out of it too, but things don't sell quite so well now I don't think. Having said that, the die cuts themselves might sell quite well and may be better than the dies to sell.

I have the bitty body and clothes etc, and the larger body and hair/clothes too

I have loads of others - teapot, cup, tags, scrolls, banners, parchment, frames - & loads more too!! I can't honestly remember what I do have - I will have to dig them out some time

Yeah why not

I saw one seller who is selling the bodies and different clothes, so you put them together yourself to make the little people, they looked good and I do confess I did purchase a graduation set  (no idea why though  )
she is doing it with 10 bodies and 10 sets of clothes  with buy it now prices of between 1.75 and 2.50, plus P&P of course ;)

I can say I didnt see any tea pots, so there is a niche in the market for them, so get cutting :D :D
