Dear NFHiB Members,

Are you or people in your area the victims of Neighbours from Hell? Are they noisy, abusive or even violent? Is there constant arguing about issues such as property disputes, strange or disruptive comings and goings, criminal activity?

Rather than moving house or living in misery, would you like our help in solving the disputes once and for all……

ITV are making a new programme which aims to provide an insight into the problem of nuisance neighbours, the devastation and distress they can cause and demonstrate how to go about resolving the issues and we’re searching for people to take part, so…..

Are you or a friend in the middle of such a feud? Are you at war with your neighbours? Do you want to name and shame someone?

If you want our help then please get in touch with me via the telephone on 0161 952 0765 Alternatively you can text me on 07721 956 879 or send an email to victoria.munro@itv.com

We’re due to start filming within the next couple of weeks so please call as soon as possible. There’s absolutely no obligation to take part in the production, but I would very much appreciate the opportunity to speak with you if you think we can help.

I’ll look forward to hearing from you.

All the best,

Vickie Munro

Vickie,

Thanks for posting your request again; please note this hasn't been authorised as you have the (same) current media request above, which is still active. :)

Good luck with this.

Wouldnt touch it with a bargepole. The TV just want to make fools of everyone concerned.

provide an insight into the problem of nuisance neighbours, the devastation and distress they can cause

This will play right into NFH hands...this is exactly what they want, to know they are causing maximum distress!

The typical NFH is not going to be interested in reconciling and sorting things out. They are going to revel in the publicity and the fact they have such a devastating effect on peoples lives.

The concept is a fine idea but one needs to be realistic and realise that NFH can't be reasoned with. They are bullies and will continue to bully until they get their own way then move on to someone else to bully.

I'm 'Suzieblue'. I have posted my story, which has got worse. My husband has been sat in a police station for 6 hours now for painting our side of the NFH's fence!

Let me know if you want to hear my full story.

After 12 months of soul destroying co-ordinated intrusive noise in one form or another from the gang that frequent my neighbours property, including 1 month of keeping my own logs at the request of the local authority, 2 months of filling their logs, umpteen emails reporting noise, having sound equipment installed etc etc etc I lodged a complaint with the authority and asked the simple question:

On the basis of the logs and sound recordings that I have made, will you answer yes or no to the question 'Will the council take any action to eliminate the source of the noise?'

Guess what? I get a volume of text back, which said 'No'.

Why? They don't have the resources to let me have the sound recording equipment for long enough to record the nuisance (even though the recordings I made were obscene, loud etc etc), but they did tell me that if I can predict when the sound is going to occur they will come round and listen to it?????

If I can't do that then they will close the case.

In short, the thresholds for using the array of tools placed at their disposal to solve these problems is set well above the threshold of human endurance. This lets them off the hook entirely, and means that we are all paying council tax to employ people who will lead victims on a pointless wild goose chase. They will very, very rarely do anything beyond placing the victims under more stress than they are already suffering and devaluing their property to the tune of tens of thousands of pounds.

It is akin to drowing in stormy seas, and seeing a council employee waving a lifebelt at you. You beg them to throw the lifebelt and they do. Then they smile as they cut the rope and walk away.
