COURT DATE ... Emma Crawford
A SCARBOROUGH teenager, who was given an ASBO after putting her neighbours through two years of hell, has again been summoned before magistrates.
Emma Crawford, 18, of Prospect Road, is accused of breaching the conditions of an Anti-Social Behaviour Order imposed on her in October last year, which banned her from associating with a number of individuals.
The order, brought by Scarborough Council's safer communities partnership, was granted at Scarborough Magistrates' Court for a period of four years following a two-day hearing.
It followed complaints from neighbours that their home address had become a focal point for young people to congregate and loiter and it was believed they were responsible for causing anti-social behaviour or crime in the surrounding area.
Under the conditions of Crawford's ASBO:
Gatherings of more than two people at her home address were prohibited
A curfew was placed on visitors at the address between 6pm and 8am
There was a list of individuals that she could not associate with
She appeared at Scarborough Magistrates' Court after allegedly associating with two of the people named on the list - once in September and on two occasions in October.
No further details of the allegations were read out in court.
Crawford denied the charges and will face two separate trials next year, on February 2 and March 4.
She was released on bail with the conditions she is not found drunk or in possession of alcohol in a public place.
