Well, as funny as it may sound. I used to live near there years ago. Its an area called Upton Priory and is largely a council estate which housed familes that had come from Scotland(Glasgow) to Manchester then to Macclesfield.
I went to school at the local primary. Had a brilliant time there from what I recall but looking back it was clear that many of the parents had some "issues" which unfortunately later became transferred to their kids. Many kids surnames were forever changing.
I remember two of the dinner ladies beating each other up in the playground and one of the kids was shot at school by an air rifle.
Later transpired that it was another parent who fired the rifle!
