On this topic....I was in Mexico a few years ago and met a guy from Minnesota, he asked me where my accent was from, I told him London. The reply was...
"London....is that near England?"

Squinted and squinted from about 6 inches away, and still can't see it!!!
My screen must be smaller than other people's? :rolleyes: Am I blessed.....ruined mouse, too-small computer screen, and fatal exceptions galore :rolleyes:

Yes, I stayed in the US for a bit and the number of times I was asked where I came from I lost count of but invariably when I said I was from England, the reply was 'England, that's in London, right?'
Strewth... and these were University students saying it!!! :wacko:
