At the risk of stating the blindingly obvious, if your mouse is a mite disfunctional, have you tried cleaning it? If the problem is that when you move the mouse, the cursor on the screen doen't move properly or is jerky, there may be fluff on the little rollers insider that are turned when the mouse ball moves. You will probably have a little plate on the bottom of the mouse that holds the ball in place. If you can take that off you should be able to CAREFULLY clean the inside. Worked for me.

Thanks, eskander! Yes, have sat there patiently prodding it with a cotton bud, removing all sorts from it, to no avail!!! Which is why it probably why the poor thing looks exactly like April's picture!!
God, I feel really mean now I have been outted as a mouse-abuser on a public forum :P :P :P Sapph

It's quite surprising what gets into a mouse - I think mine actually eats fluff when the rest of the household is asleep. Thinking of putting cheese out for it in case it thinks it's a real mouse

What I want to know is why does my cat think my mouse pad is the most comfortable place in the house? I've told him it's not a real mouse, but he doesn't seem to understand, he just lies there hogging the whole mat! :P
