Food prices rise above average

Hi Everybody,
My god the price of food today my gran use to say to me when i was little but now i am finding i am saying this as well because the food prices have sought out of the roof.
On my recent visit to the supermarket i have noticed item have been going up 30 and 40p does not sound much but when you add them all together it is:(
What gets me is that some food have to go up in price due to recent changes in the countries but some do not and it does seem to me that the supermarket are uses all manner of excuses to gain a big fat heavy profit..

I did hear, i thnik it was on the news, that wheat, barley, oats and rice have gone "though the roof" on prices, so perhaps that is what it is, but yes my shopping bill is now quite expensive, and there are only the two of us plus dog, but then i do have to buy fresh vegs and fresh frruit, as i have something wrong, but it seems all the stuff that i need is going "though the roof" but i have no choice i have to buy it.:D

Hi Isis,
Yep i heard the same about certain foods having to go up due to food problems but some supermarkets are using this to up there prices when there is really no need for it this is on foods that are readily available but we all need to eat so we all have to pay
