I have had some very odd dreams too

Only the night before last though I had a really weird and horrible dream :(

I dreamt I died :o:eek::huh:

I remember feeling like I was a balloon being deflated and the life left me  I clearly remember thinking 'Oh my God I have just died :o' and waited to find out what happened next
I tried calling out to my hubby lying next to me but no sound would come out :(
I really thought I was dead :huh: but after a little while I realised I wan't :lol::doh:

It wasn't a nice dream at all, but I wasn't as scared as I thought I would be when I actually really thought I was dead :o:unsure::blink:

Hi Kebea41:hihi:

aah you need to speak to Bonkers Mad she has a book all about dreams, and could tell you what it means, mine was spookly accurate.

Mine is more or less the same dream all the time, I am in trouble and need to use the phone to call a freind/hubby, but can't dial the right number say, the number is 1234, in my dream I will dial 2431, i get so frustrated. Bonkers Mad said that the dream meant people were talking about me in not a nice way, oh how true that is.

If you don't like bad dreams have you heard of "dream catchers" I have loads handing over my bedstead, they are supposed to help with bad dreams, they were particularly useful when my Mum died and I was having terrible nightmares. Mum and I, were in my dreams, having some terrible rows, really slanging and shouting matches but that has stopped now thank goodness. Take care :)

kebea, your dream indicates that you feel threatened with losses and tha you will despair of adjusting matters agreeably however you will outstrip your friends in the race for wealth and will achieve a higher social standing than them.

SP, what you describe sounds like sleep paralysis to me . there are ways of coping with this but i've only researched it as a way to astral project or achieve lucid dreams. i understand that it can be frightening but i've only ever seen it as a means to an end. i think the most important thing to remember if it happens again is that although it might feel like it it is not dangerous. it's more likely to happen if you are stressed, suffering from lack of sleep or sleep lying on your back.

if it happens again try to move a finger or toe to determine if you are awake or if you are experiencing a lucid dream. if you can't move anything then try pushing with all of your might to induce an out of body experience. if you manage to jerk yourself out of your body then the paralysis will lift as soon as you will yourself back in.

i have to warn you that if you do manage to get out of your body i will be mightily peed off as i still havent managed it .

Ive dreamt Ive died before too sp a couple of years ago - i saw my gravestone - people at the funeral everything . I woke up wet through with sweat and tears but couldnt explain it to my husband when he asked me what was up - i just cried. I didnt sleep properly for days afterwards.

I quite often dream im falling when im asleep and wake up with a job as though ive put my arms out to save myself  The strangest one i had was where there was an electric blue car (like a beetle car) at the bottom of the garden and everytime i went to it it moved  I had that same dream for ages!! I think I need to see someone

It's a horrible dream thinking you are dead, isn't it Sparrow? :crybaby:

My dream was of the moment of death :( and I clearly remember thinking 'Oh God, I am dead!!!' Sounds funny now, but it wasn't at the time

BM, I was actually waiting to have an out of body experience funnily enough  I thought 'I should be leaving my body now and looking down on my physical shell on the bed' but it didn't happen
The worst thing was the paralysis and trying to call out to hubby next to me desperately and nothing happening :(

I think I prefer my dreams that involve Philip Schofield :lol:

I think I prefer my dreams that involve Philip Schofield :lol:

That sounds much more pleasent sp ;)

I had a recurring dream for many years.
I was in a house that seemed very familiar in the house was a long narrow hallway leading to the bedrooms.I would stop at one particular door but never opened it because i had a sense of fear of the room.At this point i always woke up feeling afraid.
This dream went on for years until one night i actually opened the door .
There was a huge raised bed with pink satin covers like an old four poster.I sensed that i had died in that bed very strange feeling:(
After the night when i opened the door in my dream i never dreamt about it again.

That's an odd one,Er
I think there is a lot more to dreams than we will ever know

One recurring dream I once had years ago, still worries me to this day :(
The dream went on for several months and is quite spooky I think.

I used to be a nurse in a large hospital that had a network of underground corridors so you could reach all areas without going outside. They were always creepy because they were so quiet and you always wanted to look over your shoulder especially if you were walking through them alone in the middle of thenight :o
Anyway, my dream was of me and members of my family walking through these corridors. We were all crying. We were following 2 coffins being carried by pall bearers. I didn't know who was in the coffins, just that I was upset, and I knew the people with me were family but they didn't have faces so I didn't know which family members they were. It was a horrible dream and I always woke up crying whenever I had it :(
The dream kept recurring, and then my older brother, who was only 40 was diagnosed with cancer. I still had the dream throughout this time, and just over 4 months after his diagnosis he died.
The dream? Well, I still had the dream, but it had altered after my brothers death and though it was identical, the difference was this time there was only one coffin :o
Three months after my brothers death my father died suddenly

I never had the dream again

ooh SP you have sent shivers down my spine, that is spooky and i am sorry to her about your brother and dad, it must have been an awful time.

I used to dream about my dad a lot after he died, (neither my mum nor my brother would dream of him, only me, but then i was a daddys girl, big time) but once mum died and i married hubby no more visits from my dad, i am absolutely furious, as it was lovely to see him again and have a cuddle.

I've had some real corkers over the years but nothing recurring thank goodness. I dont know if its just me but I am dreaming more now than ever. I put it down to old age. I have been dreaming almost every night - sometimes I wake up disappointed that the dream has finished, but cant remember what it was about exactly.:( Unfinished business I guess.

i 've probaly told you this before . i have a few of recurring dreams. a couple are the same every time, in one of them i'm out for a meal and my teeth start falling out . that one only has 1 difference, sometimes my teeth fall out while i'm eating and at other times only one falls out at the table and the rest fall out while i'm in the ladies checking my mouth. in the other one my mouth keeps filling up with limescale and i have to keep spitting it out. the feel of the limescale in my mouth is always really vivid and stays with me for ages after i wake up, at other times my mouth is filling up with glass which i have to keep spitting out. strangly enough, even though my mouth usually feels shredded in the glass dream there is never any blood .

the one i have the most is about a house. its not always the same house but it is always the same house. some times i'm alone and sometimes there's a old lady there. she has one of those really high collared blouses on and a skirt. i'm not sure what era she's from (victorian?). it's her house but it's my house, what i mean is she owns it but it belongs to me. the house is alive but not manevolent and even though it's her house the house knows it belongs to me as well as i do. it's a big house with lots of floors and corridors and wood panelling. its a bit spooky but i belong there so i'm not scared. sometimes it's a bit like my M-I-L's house which is a four storey victorian terrace in s.london and sometimes it reminds me of a huge house in south norwood that i lived in for a bit, it had a downstairs as in upstairs/downstairs and three attic rooms , it also had a room on the first floor that had a whole glass bay front, a bit like a conservatory. sometimes it's been empty for ages and is sad and a bit derelict. i always spend time in the attic rooms which are different every time but are always made up of 3 rooms. there's a corridor that isnt there in every dream but if it's there i spend time there too, thats where the old lady usually is. sometimes the rooms in that corridor are set out like furniture departments in big department stores, they have 2 or 3 room layouts in each room.

i think i'm the old lady's heir and i always feel quite sad after one of those dreams.
