View Full Version : aahhhhhhh washing machine
oh my god, got up this morning could hear hubby banging about downstairs after coming in from work (he is on nights) went downstairs to be greated with a "paddling pool" in my kitchen, yeap, the bl**dy washing machine had leaked in the night, oh no it could not leak during the evening when i was up and about:huh:, no no had to leak after i went to bed:zzz::mad:. it lookes like the "feeder" pipe had come off, so the tap was dripping all night long. The water was freezing, of course my girl came down with me and had a nice paddle to the back door then when she came in she started to drink it, i suppose that is one way of clearing it up:lol:. Hubby had moved the washing machine out and had put the pipe back on, with loads of !*?!*? :rant:while doing it. Too scared to use it now, too frighten it will leak and if i wake him up he will be like a bear with a soar head, but what made me quite angry :frown:was his response which was "oh you are up now, good, i am going to bed i am tired and YOU can clear it up" nice one, not one offer of help to clear it up. :shout: aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
oh dear :( hope it was a one off with the pipe coming away :clover:
Oh no i hate it when things like that happen maybe a jubilee clip around the pipe will stop it coming off again :shipwrecked:
I have to keep check on my machine sometimes when it goes into a spin cycle it tries to take off its been balanced but makes no difference that can loosen the pipes as well

I hate it when W/M's go wrong. I can adapt and manage without most things but I think a washer is one of those things you just have to have. And....they always go wrong when you have a pile to do.
Hope you manage to get it sorted soon.
oh yes all sorted now, i have even manged to do two washes, with no biblical flood in sight. What a shock, i just can't beleive the amount of water, where does it come from, after all when you are looking at it going round there does not seem to be that much water in it. Yes i am sad person i do sometime watch i, not as bad a my nice neighbours cat, the cat will sit inf ront of her machine and not take her eyes of it, it is just so funny.
there's something very restful about sitting and watching the machine...I know what you mean!
isn't it just the pits when something like that goers wrong, I just feel wretched and really anxious until it's sorted...I know that sounds daft, but it really does mess me up!
Glad yours seems to be ok though now Isis :) .
Hi er59 We have jubliee clips all over the place, so the "better half" tells me, but there is one place where i would to stick a jubliee clip, and its not on the washing machine!!!!!!:lol::lol:
As to stuff going wrong in connection with water, i think this house is jinxed, because if anything goes wrong its always always involves water, we have had water comming through the kitchen ceiling on numerious occasions, the pluming in bathroon not up to scratch, we have had 3 rads "blow" pouring boling water up the walls and in two cases through the ceilings as well, and in one case down my new dinning room curtains which i had put up 1 month before hand, we have had the plumbing in the sink in the kitchen leak, which again cause biblical flood, our old washing machine sprung a leak, luckily i was there at the time and managed to turn the machine off, before the kitchen turned into a paddling pool. we had one of our boilers (we have 2 boilers one does the heating and one does the hot water) the one that does the hot water leaking on new years eve at about 8am in the morning, so that had to be turned, ever spent the new years hols with no hot water, interesting to say the least. I hate water :shipwrecked:
