Remove beef from pan and put into a casserole dish add onion & mushroom to meat juices and fry for 5 mins. Mix flour in and add tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce, Guinness and stock. Pour this mixed over the beef and cook for 1½ hours and leave to cool.
Preheat the over to gas 6/400/200 roll out pastry and put over beef. Bake pie for 30 mins until pastry is golden brown.
This is a great winter warmer, in fact we once had this out at a restaurant and my hubby prefered the one that i make! So I hope you like this one as well. I did try and play around with the guinness, and it was yuck, but then I don't drink beer of any description absolutely hate it, but the quantities here it is ok. Tomorrow Portugese Custard Tarts - its very very simple promise you. Enjoy :D and no melting chocolate anywhwere in this receipe or tomorrows either:lol:
p.s Strawberry Shortcake was lovely, will post that receipe later on. and no melting of chocolate anyway on that receipe
