Hi
Apparently this is a genuine psychological test.
If anyone gets this right, please let me know and I promise I will be REALLY nice to you!! :D :D :D
Happy thinking....
Blue Cow
Oooh,

Weird stuff,
I thought that her sister had a secret marriage to the guy, so she murdered her to get her out of the way, just like in some Agatha Christie novels ... or something ...

I'd seen this a while ago and I didn't know the answer then :) Which is reassuring in a way ;)

:D
The 'dream guy' was the priest undertaking the burial service I guess?
I thought the obvious, that the dream guy was her sisters fella and she was jealous of her sister and so killed her!! :)

I seriously hope that the people who devised this were not serious. Why? because you have to be weird to even think up this proposed answer.
It's late in the evening after a glass of wine or several so I'm not best placed to detect irony. But, sorry this kind of psychological test strikes me as being desigened for nutters by fruitcakes (or vice versa) - but then again, I may be one or both of these.
Where am I?
What day is it?
Are there fairies at the bottom of my garden?
Pardon?
Is this the Spanish Inquisition again?
Important to remember that psychological tests are desingned by pyschologists,
nuff said! (with, of course, apologies to any pyschologists on this forum - I'm a civil servant so do your worst(

Eskander....you haven't said whether you guessed it right
I'm a bit worried (just a bit mind you!!)
Esk,

Oh dear, always a mistake to post after a glass of wine. Two questions and too late at night. Ok, here goes:
Blue Cow. I would never have got the right answer in a million years - a seriously weird answer which could only have been devised by psychologists (almost certainly american ones). No need to worry, by the way - just a late-night senior moment.
Mazza: "How much have you had?" - not enough, probably!
Still, time for bed as Zebedee said

How about this ... DON'T look at the answer before doing this as it will spoil it.
Say 14 in your head over and over and over again for 30 seconds.
Now think of a vegetable.
I'll write the answer backwards below
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
I bet you thought of 'torrac'
well ... more than 50% of you should have thought of it anyway
Eskander
07-10-03, 12:19 PM
That's rather odd - I did actually think of that answer ... Why? Can't work this one out witrh an equation, or even quantum theory. Is it just that it's the vegetable most people think of first anyway?

sorry but I thought of a turnip, or swede. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: Dare I ask why a carrot.
GG.

Possibly the orange text makes one think of that vegetable but I'm not convinced. You only say more than 50% should reach that answer so not a large majority. Perhaps if you just stopped people in the street and asked them to name the first vegetable that they think of you'd get the same answer. I can't belive that "14" has got anything to do with it.

Re: FF's last poser, an e-mail went round a while ago with similar answer/response. It wasn't typed in orange (so that hasn't got anything to do with it) and you didn't have to say 14  .
I don't know why a high % say carrot.
Intrigued by FF's first poser - are we supposed to answer here?
freakyfun
07-10-03, 03:57 PM
You can answer here if you wish .. but when I post the results everyone will be able to see your personality traits (its a 'back of the envelope' psycometric test .. apparently)
The vegetable one is supposed to work by linking '14' with the gold standard '14 karat' .. people are used to thinking about 6, 14, 24 karat gold - so you are subconsciously adding 'karat' onto the end of 14. This is supposed to increase the probability of you saying 'carrot' .. apparently.

Best not then
I thought of tomato from the beginning, then carrot came to mind, but at the end I made a conscious decision to stick with tomato!!!
So... it sort of worked???
I am too shy to answer the other q's  :hihi:

Glass
 Next     ?
I was walking with a priest or someone like that
the animal was a brown bear
it was sat on its hunches playing she loves me she loves me not with a big flower, you know picking the petals off
the house was a nice cottage with an arch way and fence but the fence had plants growing up it like a thick hedge but not a hedge
the table had a plate with knife and fork resting on it
outside the back door was a metal goblet
..........ok FF how mad am I??????

Well .. the interpretation is as follows ... (I don't take any responsibility for the voracity of these)
Question 1
Whoever you were with while walking in the woods.....Is the most important person in your life.
Question 2
How ever big the animal was, is how big your problems are. So if you saw a small animal like a bunny or a squirrel you don't have very many problems in your life, but if you saw a large animal like a bear, you have a lot of problems in your life.
Question 3
What ever the animal does, is how you react to your problems. So lets say your animal runs away, that means you run away from most of your problems. Or if it hurts you or any one in any way, you use violence to handle your problems.
Question 4
If your dream house has a gate or fence around it that means you don't like to have a lot of Company, and you'd rather people call you before they come over rather then just drop by. If your house doesn't have a Gate or Fence around it that means you like a lot of Company and you don't mind if people just drop by without calling first, and any one is Welcome to your house.
Question 5
If you are a happy person, then on the table you would have seen something like flowers, or fruit. But if you didn't, that doesn't mean you're not a happy person.
Question 6
How ever long your cup would last, is how long you last in relationships. So if your cup is made of paper you don't last very long in relationships. But if it is made of something that is strong, then you will have a lasting relationships.

Thanks FF, I found that one very interesting :)
However, I don't think I react to my problems by eating nuts ;) I'm not even a comfort eater :P And I wonder what keys on a table mean? hmmm.
But basically I'd say my answers fit pretty well in with your explanation :)
Misty
ummmm
I dont think I have that many problems!!
and as for my bear picking flowers.....what the hell does that mean??!?!?!?!
now I am worried I am unbalanced!!!
and I thought I was fine before!!!
damn you FF!!!! :P

Hi FF
Mmm......interesting.
But I don't think that a sinister stalker is the most important person in my life and I don't usually solve my problems by drooling either (or maybe I do but have never noticed before)
Thanks  anyway (I think)

FF, while we are on the subject of psychology, you appear to have changed from the Spanish Inquisition to the quest for the Holy Grail ( I think). Is this significant, have you set your sights higher or are you just an incurable Monty Python fan - or are you just looking for Something Completely Different
:D heehehehe :D
I like it - I had a stag eating grass - I do wish that eating grass would sort my probs out !!! heehehehe!
On the whole though, it was probably quite apt :)
