Written by George MacDonald Fraser, it is about Burma in WWII , it is a wonderful book, I think people on the train think I have lost my marbles, as I keep on giggerling and laughing, it is sad in places, but it is well worth a read. Have been told that he wrote the "Flasman" novels, and they seem to be a big hit with the guys here. A very interesting and good book. I would recommend a read, if you are interested in WWII.

:lol: Those Flashman novels are really funny but very racy! The stuff Flashman gets up to, its gotta all be in his imagination ey?:lol: I didnt know George Macdonald Fraser had written something else, thanks for that!:rolleyes:

I'll have to look out for that one for my other half - he loves Flashman, damn his eyes! ;)
