This is very sad, in a positive sort of way!

His books have kept me amused for many hours, laugh out loud funny.

a very funny man and writer such a shame that he now has this, but I had to smile when he said it was an "embuggerance" :D TP humour right to the end

I do like his kids books as much as the disc world ones, carpet people has to be my fav ;) (got a signed copy :p )

This is such a shame for Terry, I love all his books as well. Why do these things happen/

But typical of him to take it with such humour and what a great word! I can see it catching on!B)

I know what is in front of him my Father-in-Law had Alzheimers and eventually died. It is so sad. and a terrible way to end your life, would not wish that on anyone.

If they can find a cure for anything I wish it could be Alzheimers, i think it is a terrible illness.:(

it is really sad news. however, he does say its very early and the way he's talking, the humour is as sharp as ever. hopefully there's a good few books left in him yet.

Here's hoping there is something out there that can slow down the march of this awful condition.
