I just wondered if anyone had read The Playground Mafia by Sarah Tucker? Its suppossed to be very good according to a friend of mine - I have ordered it from Amazon :) All mothers who are in the playground should read it apparently :lol:

I have read it and although some of it rings true, its a bit OTT for me. I like my stories a bit grittier - this was too 'middle class', and I found I really couldnt have cared less about some of the characters.
Its enjoyable enough though and I am sure you will rattle through it.

Thanks Annabel :) Amazon had an offer on if you ordered over £15 you got free postage so I also ordered The Rise and Fall of a Yummy Mummy ;) and the Secret life of a slummy mummy :lol: - Il let you know if there any good!!

I have just been sorting out a few of my books and I actually have a copy of the Playground Mafia!
I would have sent you it if I had realised!
I also have a couple of others which are quite good reads, I am planning on giving them to the library though as I dont think Id read them again:
Life Swap by Jane Green - high powered but unfulifilled ladies get a chance to swap their glam lives for something more modest
and
The Ivy Chronicles by Karen Quinn -high powered lady loses job and has to find another way of maintaining her lifestyle
plus My Best Friends Girl by Dorothy Koomson - best friend has an affir with her bofried has kid then dies and wants her friend to look after her child

I have read it too.
Quite good, but I have read better ones along the same lines.
I have just re-read all the shopaholic ones. Very funny!
