Hi Gang!

I am on yet another healthy eating venture and bought some sachets of sugar free jelly to have as a sweet treat. I made a few with out a hitch, but the last two times, despite waiting for hours, the jelly simply didn't set.

I add half a pint of boiling water to the crystals and then half a pint of cool water - give it a stir and leave it in the fridge. Am I doing something wrong, or do you thing the sachet was faulty?

Many thanks!!

Hi DG :D

Gosh I don't know, hun, I have never tried using the crystals, but you have given me the idea of trying them though  [I am on yet another diet and have lost 10lbs in just over a week, but sometimes crave something sweet].

Hopefully someone else will have the answer for you

That was really helpful wasn't it, DG ?:rolleyes:

Try making it with less hot water and more cold should help it to set quicker ;)

Hi Domestic Goddness,
I always add a little bit less fluid than stated on packet because i have also found that it does not set hard when you follow instructions on pack. Try this hope it helps:)
Cold custard and Strawberry jelly lovely and not too much calories in either if you do not add sugar to powdered custard mix yummmmmmmmm
