The BFI have released in 2 volumes of 2 DVD in each set of Charlie Chaplin films.
They are the Essany Films collection. Unlike previous releases of these films (they date from 1914/1915) which were either of very poor quality or not complete, these are very nicely re-mastered.
There's some 400 minutes of fantastic historical films.
As an aside, in one scene in a park there are some children way in the background (obviously not part of the film) andI can't help wondering if they ever knew they were on film? And what happened to them after they were filmed?
If you are a fan of Chaplin, you will need these DVDs. :)
