View Full Version : Concert for Diana
Is anyone watching this today?? If so what do you think of it so far?
I had forgotten it was on until I just switched the T.V on; from what I have just seen it doesn't look as if it's my kinda music; yet ;)
I did see the Princes and they both looked as tho they were enjoying themselves dancing away  BBC are showing the whole show till 10pm tonight!!
O, I was just about to start a topic on this too
I've been watching it since it started, and I am really enjoying it. I love the camera shots of the 2 Princes, and other members of the family [Beatrice & Eugenie, Earl Spencer etc] Some of it is quite emotional and I have had a wee tear in my eye a couple of times :honk:
I only wish they said who was on and when. I don't want to miss Rod Stewart if I disappear to get dinner .
Elton John opened the concert and is ending it. I heard he will sing Candle in the Wind :honk:. there's lots of good stuff still to come, O :D
I also discovered I like The Feeling  Well I never
Goodness knows what time our roast dinner will be ready tonight
Obviously great minds think alike ;)
Hmmm I've gotta go and get dinner in a while, luckily we got steak, new pots and runners tonight so it won't take long
Just watching Willy Boy (or Will Young!) talking in the interval, he's one of my favourites and appearing next, also coming up next is Lee Mead Jason Donavan & ? singing a song from Joseph so gotta watch that too. Oooohhh so many :)

Ooooh, I'm in a right dilemma over dinner now then  I WILL be singing and dancing when Rod comes on, so expect lots of spilt gravy
I love Will Young, Jason D & Lee Mead too [I'll be singing along to their Joseph stuff ;)] Andrew Lloyd Webber medley should be good, Status Quo, Natasha Bedingfield - I like her, Take That - fab, Tom Jones, Joss Stone.
I might even have to miss Corrie tonight :o
BTW it is being shown in 140 countries to 500 million households!!!!!
It has been great so far, just on a quick smoke break then straight back in to dance around the front room.
Brian Ferry was terrific, and as for the Andrew Lloyd Webber medley, that was amazing. I cried  [and sang along too ]
Great concert :)
I just loved Will Young in white  (I know I know he bats for the other side ;)) When he danced on it was just superb as he always is. I did notice however, that he seems to have changed in his looks somewhat :errrm: maybe its because he is maturing nicely
I only saw bits and pieces, altho I did not like that c-rapper (didn't get his name) but I did enjoy watching P Diddy what a beautiful song and so right for the evening
Tom Jones - nah not for me! Andrew Lloyd Webber's section, absolutely superb and altho I do not like ballet - I did enjoy watching it tonight
Top of the bill for me? Take That wow brilliant live I was mesmerised by them
Missed the ending had to copy to DVD as a film we had been waiting an age to see, was on tonight on 10pm BBC2 - Kill Bill 2 a very gruesome film ;) Just watching the end as I type :)
I hope you caught the end ok, O, as it over ran by half an hour :o
I loved Take That, didn't like that first rapper either :(, but P Diddy was good. As for the superb Rod Stewart, what can I say? He gets me on my feet every time . It can be a bit embarrassing, but hey ho . I thought he was excellent and I was on my feet singing along in my living room. Fabulous.
I loved all the shots of the Princes enjoying themselves too :D
The end where they showed previously unseen footage of Diana as a baby and little girl was very emotional too
Very well done, I thought :D
I saw quite a few bits of it and I thought it was a fitting tribute
Diana should be proud of her boys

I did at one point wonder how two serving officers in the British Army found time to organise this, then I remembered they are officers not someone who works for a living! :hihi: I didn't see it but other than Elton John's song for dead blondes it sounds excellent!
