Skirting boards or walls first? is there a way this should be done?:D
I think it's walls first, isn't it or you get splashes on the skirting boards when you paint the walls.
I think :lol::rolleyes:
Oh i always do it the other way around ceiling first then skirting boards and door frames walls last but i probably do it back to front anyway are there any d.i.y experts out there
 I only know for sure it's ceiling first - shows how often I decorate :lol:
Found this hope it helps :)
Painting a room
Generally, the best advice that we can give you is that you should paint from the corners into the middle, and from the top to the bottom. So if you're painting a wall, start at the top corners, and work your way in, painting from the top to the bottom.
Your order of attack should be as follows:
Ceilings
Walls
Floors
Doors
Windows

I wish, I had had this advice earlier, I have a white passage, and an added white floor, white door, a white dress and white trousers.
Mr. P let loose with a paintbrush = one large loaded gun full of emulsion.
I wouldn't mind but white is not slimming :(

thanks guys
skirtings first  cut in around the door frames and skirtings etc and then paint over the top when you do the walls ;)
I am sure it will look great which ever why round you do it
top tip, rub vaseline into your hands before you start, it is suppose to help get the paint off easier after wards....or wear gloves :D

The correct way to do this is to buy the paint, rollers and brushes. Then get someone else to do it while you go out for the day!
