Gay lovers to 'wed live on Big Brother'?

'Big Brother' is set to star its first set of gay lovers, who reportedly want to tie the knot on live TV.

Stephen Ireland and James Joell are set to enter the infamous house in 12 days, and reportedly want to make history by becoming the first same-sex lovers to wed on a live reality TV show.

The couple auditioned for the 8th series of Channel 4's 'Big Brother' in February, dressing as a bride and groom and were thrilled when they heard producers plan to have a real on-screen wedding.

A source said: "It's their dream to be the first couple to marry on TV. I hope they manage it - they'll be forever remembered as pioneers."

However, a spokeswoman for the show played down claims Stephen and James will be two of the contestants, saying: "Housemates are only confirmed on launch night when the cars pull up outside the house."

Meanwhile, 'Big Brother' is set to get another spin-off show with Davina McCall presenting a new hour-long Sunday night show.

The brunette beauty, who also presents the main show, will host 'Big Brother On The Couch', in which psychologists will analyse contestants' behaviour.

A source said: "Fans will love it - it's the perfect night-in."
