bjork is truly dreadful how can anyone like her twittering and drivelling on...completely overrated
I don't think she is, but thats my opinion, don't really hear much about her good or bad.
At least she is not a sheep like most musicians.

Actually, liked her first album...ages ago now! She did get even more experimental tho' then, and lost me
Do think she's quirky and VERY original tho' ;)

I have to listen to a lot of muzak, as inflicted by the numerous financial institutions I have to deal with.
the absolute worst is Norwich Union. it is so ridiculously cheerful and inappropriate seeing as i am usually phoning up to MOAN about something. plus it has been the same since , well FOREVER!
the next worst is AMP N P I whose tape has gone skewwhiff, but they havent noticed, or they have but dont care and just want to drive us nuts so we hang up rather than melt our ear bones listening to it.
there you go i have named and shamed. if there are any reps from these companies on this forum please PM me so we can have a good old row, sorry i mean 'meaningful and fruitful discussion' on how to move forward.
i am going mad. i need to goto bed.
:tooth:
what does AMP N P I mean?
i think the place where i werk has stuff as bad as that...when on hold is this random beep noise...like the musical cards make when you open them...reallly says "quality company...give us money" .., i think they doit deliberate to cut down the ppl in a phone queue, unless they don't :P

Bjork is so bad she's good, if you know what I mean (not sure even I know what I mean ;) )
As for telephone 'holding on' musak, the worse I've come across is Abbey National - it's just the first bars of 'Get the Abbey Habit with Abbey National, over and over and over...........gave me a headache :(
My musical preferences are mostly classical or a nice bit of Chieftains music, gets the feet tapping :)

Am TOTALLY fed-up with ALL of this telephone-holding musak, it's all abominable...and calls should be answered in no more than 30 seconds...I spend half of every day on the 'phone to various call centres, and it drives me insane :P
Like classical/original disco/the Buzzcocks, and banging dance music(amongst others)! Nice and varied  When my neighbour is out :D

I think the most unexpected muzak I've encountered was a couple years ago phoning the conciliation service ACAS to be treated to Dire Straits - not sure if that was intended to be ironic but I quite enjoyed it for a change

Nice one Eskander! When I'm having a REALLY bad hold-muzak day, perhaps I need to go see if that one's still playing! ANYthing to make holding more enjoyable

This slightly related to musak due to its annoyance factor, but I heard that the Americans played the 'Barney' theme during interrogation to break their prisoners ! I know I'd be telling everything after a few minutes of 'Barney' yeeeek

was your daughter into them??? my daughter was and now when i look back i think, how did i manage to sit through those progs with her?? total brain damage...
mind you i hear a lot of dads used to like tellytubbies because of 'funny lady'...
Bjork was much better in the Sugarcubes - but then anyone would sound good paired up with the strange bloke she used to sing with  oooh he wuz weird!!
Must admit she was v frightening when she attacked that reporter at the airport that time... :o
