THE family of a man who died after he was battered by a neighbour-from-hell have won the first round of their legal battle.

James Mitchell's family have been awarded Legal Aid in their ground-breaking fight against Glasgow City Council.

Good luck to them. I remember the story and it was disgraceful that the deceased had not been informed about his NFH.

But once again, even if the family win it will be the tax payer and the council tax-payer who will foot the bill. But hopefully it will mean it won't happen again.
