I too have mixed feelings over this. The chickens were innocent, they were just following their instincts. It was the selfish owner who was at fault. I get quite angry when I hear of animals suffering because of stupid useless owners. But I have great sympathy with the 'killer'; sleep deprivation can affect people in terrible ways.
Once again the victim ends up paying for the antisocial behaviour of a NFH!!
