Aw cute

My rottie Ella was lovely and gentle. She would guard LT's cot at night and nudge me when he stirred.

That just goes to show what i have said all along.

A rottie is not a dangerous dog i have been around them most of my life.

It isnt right the reputation these dogs have, its not the dog that is the problem its the owners.

Any dog can be a danger with the wrong owner.

Sorrry Sparrow but i think of these dogs as you do the lambs.

should i get my coat.

No Magpie you dont need to get your coat!! :) I love dogs - when I said bad reputation I meant the stories in the press lately because of whats happened with children being attacked not cos I dont like them! We have always had a dog - and my parents do. When my eldest was a baby mums dog (german shepard) used to lie in front of the pram and guard her!! At night our dog lies at the top of the stairs when the kids go to bed! As you say magpie - the owner has alot to do with how a dog is!

Not having a pop at you Sparrow :)

Its the reputation the press gives them that gives me the hump

This story just goes to prove the media wrong yet again, Rotties are lovely friendly dogs unless you annoy them, the same can be said of most dogs really, if you annoy a dog you only have yourself to blame when they take a chunk out of you. I have a cross-breed Rottie myself & she's a soppy great lump who loves to cuddle up to a big teddy at nights.
