Hi all, this is my 1st contribution to the book club, i hope it's useful. I have jus read a most inspiring uplifting and at the same time horrific book. It is called Rock me gently, by Judith Kelly. It's the true story of a young girl placed into a orpanage which iis run by nuns. Full of the cruelty, emotonal, physical, and sexual abuse of the children in there care, and the way an old woman on a kibbutz in israel helps mz Kelly to come to terms with what she has endured. This book makes one realise that whatever problems we may face, there are others a lot worse off. I can't recommend it highly enough
