Yes, its pretty disgusting really, we do our bit by recycling what we can and of course the composter now has pride of place in the garden  but we still could do more. What's so discouraging is when you try your best and find others in the street are loading bag after bag into their bin. It sort of makes you feel as if you are fighting a losing battle!
The amount of times when im out and about and i see perfectly good items slung next to bin bags to be taken to the landfill sites is annoying to me
ive seen childrens bikes with hardly a mark on them and various toys in good condition that could so easily be given to other people or taken to charity shops
we are a nation of wasteful people and its really very sad :(

Our local tip resell items as well langwiz. We once got a cast iron table and chairs for the garden - nothing wrong with them just wanted repainting.
We recycle as much as we can - I do wish our council would recycle plastic though (i do recycle it) as the bulk of our rubbish is this milk containers, juice containers etc. They take tins and glass, cardboard and newspapers. :)
What will happen in 2016 when landfill space runs out? :(
