Hi Sparrow

I read this in our daily paper today and could not believe my eyes

I believe its the councils that are being so pathetic with the health and safety rules - not the actual HSE!

Some towns are not having xmas lights this year "just in case" a bulb or something falls on a pedestrian and then the councils are sued for damages; the councils just seem to always take it to the extreme all the time

Bah humbug to all of them

hmmmmmm...........

They should also warn the unwary that mince pies are disgusting! 8-X [/b]

lol at sledge :hihi: no they're not :P

Just about says it all really.

On a similar note, I asked littles smallest mazza's nursery teacher if I could bring a little treat in for the children for his birthday - I would have made sure it was nut free, healthy eating blah blah...but they would not have a bit of it for ''health & safety'' reasons. Oh, but I could hand it out 'outside the gates' at my own risk  .Talk about everything is spoiled these days...what have we become ?

(PS I hate mince pies too!)

This is ridiculous, how entirely OTT

It's like the school that wouldn't let the other kids share a girls home-made birthday cake as it came in unwrapped and contravened health and safety :(

What is going on with the world!

They will be setting up a mince pie safety squad before you know it, and these poor people having nice little village events will suddenly be swamped with masked men who confiscate the mince pies for 'further questioning and testing'.

Lunacy!

There is nothing like getting a nice slice of cake of a stall at a school event or village event. Will the poor dears that take time out to cook them now be under scrutiny?
