Another Roof Leak

You may remember we had a leak through our roof last month.

Well guess what they repaired it :rolleyes: and water has just poured into LT's room again. :banghead:

Mr T has had to get up in the loft and put a bucket there to curb the leak.

It came through LT's light again and ruined his new lamp shade, which we replaced after the last one.

They will call within 4 hours!! :bigeyes: And that's only because LT is registered disabled.

So ruined carpet, light and a nearly electrocuted LT now.

Roofs. Rooves? Whatever. I hate them. Especially when they leak.

I had a problem with the back of someone's house this week. Timber frame. I took out an old waste pipe that had been badly fitted, plugged up the hole and there was too much rot in the woodwork to stop the rainwater getting through. Some of the panelling is now covered with heavy polythene until next spring. Hope it holds up ok. :blink:

A man came at 11:30pm to isolate LT's light.

He was nice, but couldn't do a repair or anything.

We now have to wait for a roofer and electrictian to come tomorrow.

Thankfully it is not raining at the moment!

How awful for you. I know how heavy the rain was last night as we were just about to leave to come home and the heavens opened up and the wind was so strong. We waited about half an hour before we left; on the way home there were strong winds and heavy rain but it has ceased by the time we'd got past London.

How is Little T... mut have been a bit frightening for him bless him. Did the roofer turn up today??

Hi all,

No it is not a flat roof and the HA can pay for it!!

No roofer turned up today! An electrictian came and said LT's light was ok to use now. But to get him I had to call the emergency team again!

Bucket in loft had to be emptied in the night and LT has a bowl in his room too :angry:

This Tortoise will be kicking ar*e on Monday morning. :rant:
