My review!!

Firstly Rod Stewart was lovely. He really helped them all. I thought it would be hard for them all to sing his songs, but they all had great songs.

What was Kate Thornton wearing though?! :bigeyes: She looked all hunched up! Says me the queen of glamour! :hihi:


Leonne: First cut is the deepest

She has a good voice, but I think she oversings a bit. She is playing the "I'm shy and cute" card a little too much now though!


McDonald Brothers: We are sailing

Bless em in their kilts. Bit of a Scottish cliche tonight! They got better towards the end of the song.


Kerry: Have I told you lately

Excellent song choice for her. She was fab tonight. :thumbs:


Ashley: Rather go blind
He is very good, he reminds me of Terence Trent D'arby. Needs to sort out his attitude though. Simon likes him now, but I bet he will go off him when he tries to get lippy!


Dionne: Tonights the night

I don't think she sounds like Gladys Knight, I think she is more like Heather Small out of the M People. Simon was right about her practicing, sort out that dancing girl!!


4 Sure: You're in my heart

"Out of our comfort zone!" :rolleyes: Just sing the song!
Louis was very supportive of his group - NOT!!!
Having said that they didn't do too badly at all.

Oh Louis handbags!! She was fabulous.
She looked amazing tonight.

Robert: Try a litle tenderness

Lovely bit of soul. Forgot it was Rod Stewart night!
Simon and Sharon were right though, he needs to chill! Otherwise it could be Chicco Time!!


Eton Road: This old heart of mine

I love Anthony!!!! He is fabulous. :notworthy:
He always looks a bit like the lead singer out of Placebo.
They did well with that song and they are all so different.
My Fav!! :thumbs:


Ray: What a Wonderful World

You need a strong loud voice to sing this song. He sounded like a kid at a school concert! He is cute, but not my cup of tea. I wouldn't buy his records - too Gareth Gates for me!
He has a good voice thoough for swing songs. He could of done a swing version of Try a litttle tenderness - like Michael Buble does.


Ben: Maggie May

Well, good choice for our Ben! :thumbs: Any song by Rod would have been good for him though.

Glad he speeded it up though and didn't stay at the piano! :D

The showdown, I reckon could be between McDonald Brothers and Ray.

Ray is not living up to my hopes :(

I really like Eton Road - they are slightly different to the average boy band, but it is Ben who is different and has a really great voice. My vote is on those 2 in the final at the minute, with Ben to win :unsure: :thumbs:

Ben has been my fav all along, i&#39;d love to hear him do a bruce springsteen song.
I think Mcdonald brothers and Ray in the showdown, would like to see Ray go, don&#39;t know why but i just don&#39;t like him, he gets my back up for some reason I can&#39;t explain.

Hubby thinks Mcdonald brothers and 4Sure but hope 4Sure stay as one of the band is always on the karokee in our local.

Sorry to see 4Sure go, but would have been worse if Robert went, can&#39;t believe the showdown was between those two, and can&#39;t understand how Ray and mcdonald bros are staying in.

Rod Stewart - brilliant - just goes on and on and on - and I still find him sexy :D

Couldn&#39;t believe it - 4Sure and Robert in the showdown :( Robert is great - so full of energy - quite the little showman. Luv his smilie face :D Felt sorry for 4Sure - although they were never really going to make the final - they do have a few "tuning" problems - I didn&#39;t think they would go tonight.

The MacDonald Brothers were in my opinion terrible tonight and I just cannot understand how they continue to survive (they would never get my vote - and I&#39;m Scottish :o ). Maybe it the old story of the more scathing the comments from the judges the more the British public feel sorry for them and keep them in - just cos they can&#33;

I would love to see Nikitta get through - but I don&#39;t think she&#39;ll make it this time.

My favourites at the moment are Ashley, Leonie, Eton Road, Robert and my no. 1 - BEN BEN BEN :thumbs:

Having said that, we all thought the McD&#39;s would be out on Sat, and what happened? They are dreadful - but must have very large families :rolleyes:

I don&#39;t think Kerry will win, but it wouldn&#39;t surprise me if she was offered a recording contract. I hope so, she has a cracking voice :D

4sure weren&#39;t very strong, but they didn&#39;t deserve to be in the showdown and Robert certainly didn&#39;t.

Louis would do well to remember that he chucked Eton Road out of his final 4.He picked Avenue over them.Looks like they could go all the way for Louis. I don&#39;t think Simon will let him forget that.

Just a slight change of subject: To all you Rod fans out there.Mr T&#39;s late Aunt was a huge fan of his. We had lots of his songs played at her funeral. We are making a CD as a "favour" for our wedding guests of all their wedding first dance songs. We want to include a song for our 3 departed family and we want a Rod song for her.
What song would you suggest?
