I don't think many of them were outstanding tonight. What were the judges thinking with their song choices?? :bigeyes:

Simon giving Ray "Ben" :rolleyes: and Leonna "I'll be there" YUK!!!!!

Louis giving The Unconventionals "Dancin in the streets" TERRIBLE!! They should have had something like "Ain't no mountain high enough" so the main bloke could sing with the others doing harmonies.

And what was that song Sharon gave Kerry? She would have been brilliant with a beltin out motown song like "You're all I need to get by" or something similar.


I am glad Eton Road are through. The lad doing the main bit (the one who looks a bit new romantic) was fab. Nikitta was brill too.

The Scottish lads weren't very good. The one doing the high notes was out of tune and Louis knew it. I didn't think Ashley was that good either. He sounded quite flat.

Dionne did much better the second time round.

I thought most of the song choices were dire, and it was the song that put the Unconventionals out as it was totally not them, such a shame as they had potential :(

I thought most of the contestants were just ok tonight, no-one outstanding but maybe it's first night nerves, did think the McDonald brothers would be out though, they were by far the worst :(

Much against my own will, I have been really drawn into the whole Xfactor thingy this time! :)

Am I the only one here who likes Ben?? :bigeyes: He's so cute :blush: and, I think, a little bit different.

Thought Motown was a rotten genre for most of them last night - not the best they've been..... anyway, as GEG says, roll on next week! :thumbs:

I really like Ben too :) I have said all along he is like a young Rod Stewart, but also, as the judges said, Joe Cocker.

I think he will be in it to the end - he is a bit different :thumbs:
