donate or rubbish ?

Last week i cleaned out my shoe closet. Some pairs I´ve never worn since many years. If they are still in decent shape i donate them. If they are worn-out or hideous...i think it´s the best to put them directly into the rubbish bag. I was astonished that my neighbour blamed me. She said that the donation bag is the right choice for all my old shoes. I can´t believe this :unsure: . I don´t think that homeless people have a need for my 15!!!yrs old(-fashioned) 4 inch leather boots:

Ewww....i think these old pull-on boots contain a lot of bacteria 8-X . I know that sounds harsh, but i think from the health aspect they are really gross items and belong into the rubbish bag together with other non-recycable household waste. My neighbour is a recycling nut but i think this time she is wrong.
Who had right in this discussion ? Donate these 15yrs old boots or t*ss them ? Recycable items or are they old yucky rubbish ?

Just a funny thought - you could sell them as "well-worn, smelly old high heels" to some of the mad foot-fetish people who seem to frequent eBay! :hihi: :hihi: I once sold an old pair of Mr Smoo's working boots - for a bet actually, because a pal told me you could sell absolutely ANYTHING on eBay and I didn't believe him..... the boots were falling apart and absolutely minging - I got £20! :D :D :D I wouldn't make a habit of it though, you get some very strange/worrying questions! Some people! :sicky:

PS Your boots don't look all that bad to me - what size are they???

Forgot to ask - how the heck has your neighbour got any say in what you do with ANYTHING of yours, rubbish or otherwise, anyway??!! Cheeky interfering mare if you ask me! :angry:
