We have just had a new enamel/metal bath fitted.
Little T knocked over a porcelain mug in the bathroom and there is now a chip in the bath!
Mr T has gone mad as we only got it 3 weeks ago.
What I ned to know is can we seal it up so it will not rust and look normal again?
Please help before I walk out!!
T xx
OMG T, we had an enamel bath installed last week and I am worrying about this happening.
As far as I know you can buy something in places like B&Q to repair chips in enamel to prevent them rusting or worsening. It will protect the chip and colour it back to its original colour.
Sorry I don't know what it is called :( but we asked advise about enamel baths before we bought it and the Mr. B&Q man mentioned it as an emergency repair
Poor you :(
When you find out - please let me know what it is called  knowing my luck it will happen to us too

There are re enamelling kits which will repair the chip fairly easily, a good Iron Monger will have them. and you can also buy plastic mugs at the same place
Just kidding

Tortoise... please let me know how you get on with repairing the bath as my enamel bath already has big peeling bits so you can see the blue underneath. No rust so far and it has been used lots.

Insurance claim = new bath?
New bath = the best long term solution.
Don't forget - if you paid for it on a credit card you might be able to claim on the card.
