I was watching Porridge last night and it really struck me just how brilliantly written and acted it is. So I started thinking about all the excellent comedies we have had on telly over the years and I was just wondering what everyone else thought. I would definitely put Porridge up near the top!!!
Fawlty Towers has recently been on and still makes me laugh. :hihi: :hihi: And I have a very soft spot for The Good Life, I dont know why!!!
:) :D

A Bit of a Do - why don't they repeat that one (they seem to with all the others, hundreds of times over ;) )?

Hi Annabel,
You're a UK Gold fan like me then! I agree, Porridge is excellent and I think Ronnie Barker is amazing in all his humour. :)
I have a long list, but here are the ones that come to mind at the mo:
Classic Stuff
- The Good Life (no suprise for me, see my profile - got every episode)
- Open All Hours
- Only Fools & Horses (like this more and more as I get older!)
- Blackadder (amazing!)
'Newer' Stuff
- The Royle Family (shame it ended)
- The Office (only seen a few, but very funny!)
- The Kumars (comedy show, does this count?!)

Yes yes yes, Family Guy is something else - that and Futurama. Alan Partridge and The Office - superb stuff. Fawlty Towers and the "Yes you did - you invaded Poland" - I could go on all night. But won't.
