Hi all,
I just wondered if I could ask you all a little favour? If you can spare a minute, just think good healthy thoughts for my dad.
For those that don't know, he was diagnosed with cancer of the gullett last year when I was abour 30 weeks pregnant. So I had a lot of stress with the pregnancy, dad being ill and our NFh. It was a horrible time.
He had an op in November to remove the tumour. The choice was don't have the op and don't live, have the op and have some chance at life. They had to remodel his insides somewhat for the op, and it was likened to a controlled car crash injuries taking over 9 hours to do, but he came through it and has slowly got stronger.
He goes for tests today to see if the cancer has been kept at bay as when they operated they found several lymph nodes that were effected (13 in all), which they said could mean it was more aggressive than they first thought.
Hopefully, he will prove them wrong, but this is a big milestone for him today. His odds of a cure are 30%, but we hang onto that dearly.
So if you could spare a good vibe or two for my daddy, I would appreciate it. With everything going on in my life, I would take every last bit of stress just to have him back to normal.
Will be thinking of you all day today dad. Hope it's good news!
