NFHiB, positively managing negative neighbours
Neighbours From Hell in Britain (NFHiB) at www.nfh.org.uk, the renowned, online support site and forum community for neighbour from hell help, has reached a phenomenal milestone of 10,000 forum members today.
NFHiB, with its motto of 'Support for all, which is free for all', was established in 2002 to help and support anyone suffering with a nuisance neighbour in any form. Due to the site creator's personal experiences with repeatedly anti-social, noisy, inconsiderate and rude neighbours, nfh.org.uk was set up; there was nowhere online at that time for those on the receiving end of un-neighbourly behaviour to turn to for support, information or help and NFHiB has filled that much needed gap.
The forum community was established to combat the lack of resources, information and support available, around what NFHiB term as a 'Neighbour From Hell' (or 'NFH' for short). The forum was also created to enable people who are suffering with similar problems to come together as a voice for change. Most importantly too, as a means of supporting one another through what can be truly awful times that are often both physically and mentally exhausting.
Now widely acknowledged by both the media and other professionals working in relevant fields, NFHiB has established itself to be the leader in supporting and helping all those who are unfortunate enough to have lived or be living with Neighbours From Hell. NFHiB receives no funding whatsoever from any source and yet remains totally free to access and use by all.
Despite the rising costs associated with such a support network, NFHiB is thriving and some members have kindly assisted with voluntary donations and subscriptions which help meet some of the costs. NFHiB feels though, the benefits of helping others to feel less alone with a neighbour problem and be supported, far outweighs any financial cost to the pocket.
Neighbours From Hell in Britain is also lucky to have an exceptional group of volunteers who form the 'NFHiB Support Team', without whom, running and supporting the large and busy NFHiB forum community would be impossible.
Neighbours From Hell in Britain has been featured in many national/local newspapers and magazines, sourced on television documentaries and programmes and has been able to assist with numerous radio broadcasts. They have also been able to have important and specific contributions to legislation-affecting and awareness research, for example to the House Of Commons, Home Affairs Committee, 'Anti-Social Behaviour' 5th report for 2004/2005.
The site has just completed its Nuisance Neighbour Survey for 2006 and has had over 1000 survey entries. NFHiB will be publishing the results soon and will release their findings to the media and authorities alike.
NFHiB continues to support, empower and inform, making others aware of the problems of nuisance neighbours and is a unique and much needed online support group for both British and internationally-based members.
There's no need to feel alone or be alone.
