( assumes straight face) It is my deepest regret to inform you all that Mr DG is in a bad way. He's come home from work suffering from........
GROIN STRAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
The poor old sausage is lying on the settee with a bag of frozen peas on his nads and is in a very grouchy mood indeed!
He did say that if any ladies of the forum have healing hands he'd been willing to let them lay them upon his delicate area!!!
He can't remember how he did it and his works mates are telling him it's old age. I've made him a korma for tea in an attempt to cheer him up, but it doesn't seem to be working.
I think I'm going to have to play nursie for a few days.
(I wonder if our NFH has a voodoo doll of him??)
I won't laugh.........much :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
DG, maybe you should of put the korma on his bits to warm them up. :hihi: I heard for mucle strain Deep heat is good.....might sting a bit though

Poor Mr DG :(
Not being a man I can't say that I know what it feels like but it must bloomin hurt! Still now he has a good excuse to watch the snooker or whatever while you wait on him hand and foot. Hard life... :)

You lot - really!
I'm sorry, but despite me sypathising with the 'pain' he's in, I can't help but laugh with all those comments about sausages! I had sausage caserrole for tea last night - can't think about it now! Might be traumatised!
Poor mr DG. I hope his strained parts get better soon (!*^&&*)!!!!!

Oh thank you all so much - I'm having a tough morning at work and have just caught up with this one - fantastic - I feel so much better! (sorry Mr DG!)
On a slightly more serious note - I hope Mr DG is taking adequate painkillers - paracetamol and neurofen as an absolute minimum (he can take them together or alternate them 2 hourly as long as he doesn't exceed the daily recommended dose) and both will work well to reduce the swelling ( :hihi: :hihi: ) and pain. If thats not enough, he should see him GP and get something stronger.
My sympathies to Mr DG but thank you for the giggles! Get well soon!

Yes, the "poorly man" voice is evident! He's lying there watching Sky Sports and feeling very sorry for himself. He's seen our GP and is on painkillers and anit-inflammatories. He may need phsyiotherapy as well.
I told him about you all discussing his little sausage and he demanded that I tell you all that he has a proud knockwurst and is not ashamed of it!!!! :hihi:
No chipolatas in the DG household then!!

I would sizzle up with all this laughter.
Poor mr DG. I hope he realises he's cheered up our day, even if it is at his expense (OK, big expense, we don't want to downgrade his sausage now do we!).

Oh Domestic Goddess,
What a horrible thing to happen to Mr DG
I hope he's still lying stretched out on the settee
I must confess I tried so hard not to snigger
But it does give a new meaning to 'pulling the trigger!"
:hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
Send him my best wishes

Poor Mr DG gingerly lifted himself from the settee to pop to the loo, when he tripped up over Dilbert the cat!! You should have heard the language!!! Dilbert was unceremoniously shut out of the front door and Mr DG is in a frightful mood. I'm doing all I can to cheer him up. I'm cooking all his favourite meals and even got him a tub of Hagen Daas ice cream to have all to himself.
His condition is the cause of much mirth at work. There is a picture of him in the canteen and his mates now touch his crotch and send "healing thoughts"!!! There are many rumours flying around about how he came by his condition but I'm too much of a lady to mention them here.
Laughing aside, I do feel really sorry for him. Thank goodness there's snooker on to keep him occupied.

Oh DG
How is the nurse bit going, Mr Muk plays football and frequently comes home with similar injuries    The constant wining led me to my friend who blends aromotherapy oils etc and she did one with wheatgerm in it and now Mr Muk swears by it Maybe Mr DG could try some

I feel really bad now!
Mr DG's pain has not improved, so he is now undergoing a barrage of tests. The Dr has mentione athritus as a possile diagnosis. Mr DG is worreid about being able to do his job.
All positive thoughts appreciated.
I feel really rotten for poking fun at him now
Poor Mr DG,
as MM said sending 'healing thoughts' your way.
