Have just seen an article on Sky News about a group of Mums who read Take A Break who are sick of anti social behaviour and are forming there own polictical party, has anyone else seen this? CN
Yep I have coppernob. Must admit I read Take a break every week  .
They are featuring a story every week about someone who has been really affected my NFH. Last week it was about a couple, the husband had cancer and wanted to die in peace at home but the yobs would not leave it. They even cheered when he was brought out in a coffin into a herse and played loud music. They have had some really sad stories.(but thats the papers for you). I am not sure about the people who have written in to be political leaders though.
This is the link (hope I get it right) to the Mums Army page.

:badmood: How low can people stoop? That is awful  Thanks for the link, tact, I'll have a look. I used to buy Take A Break when it first come out, I used to enter the competitions, I think I got so fed up with not winning, I stopped buying it!! The stories were interesting though. CN

I am not quite sure of the legality of this. If a journalist stands for election he or she has to stand stand from their job, so Take A Break would be limited in the coverage theiy could give their candidates in the election campaign.

That's right,I remember in the last election, our local station's news presenter came off air until it all finnished as his daughter was an MP and up for the local vote, something to do with not being able to present the news without bias.

It is the Representation of the People Act.
You have to ensure all sides are treated equally. It is a $£%&ing nightmare! :o
Been following this in Take a Break (which I read but also have never won a competition despite entering every week), I agree with the principle behind it, people are sick of ASB and yobs getting away with bad behaviour, they want a safe future for their children
I wich them luck :)
