Not a British story, but different!

Woman sues neighbour for naming dog after her

A Chinese woman is suing her neighbour after he named his dog after her and cursed it in the street.

Lin Ling , of Wulong, Chongqing Municipality, said she had often quarrelled with her neighbour Fang.

Then, not long ago, Fang bought a dog and called it Ling Ling, reports the Hong Kong edition of China Daily, quoting the Chongqing Morning Post.

Lin complained that he called out the name not only at home, but also in public places. He even cursed the dog while calling her name, Lin said.

Lin is demanding £75 in compensation for Fang's behaviour, which she says is damaging her reputation.

Ironic really, I knew someone who called their dog Fang http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif Bit sad that an innocent animal is being used in this way though http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif

*good morning*
many years ago when we got our moggy and we lived somewhere else,we were going to call her darkie 2.We had to change that idea due to a coloured person
living nearby. Can you imagine the implications of standing at your front door at
10.30pm shouting for your cat to come in DARKIE........DARKIE........

We still have our moggy today, shes 13 yrs old.

I've just remembered something. When I was about sixteen I got a crush on an American wrestler named Ricki Starr. http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blush.gif At around the same time we got a dog and of course I called her Ricki, bit silly really because she was female, but that's neither here nor there. Then a couple of years later we got new neighbours, Ricky and Alice. Have you ever tried to shout to call you dog in in a whisper? http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif
