 I'm ashamed to admit this, but I have no idea hos to resize images! I run a small, very basic website and would like to add some photos. However they are too large to be uploaded. How can I make them smaller? I've had a go, but ended up losing half the picture!!!
Please help!!

Hi DG
What program are you using to get the photos onto your computer (or is it a Mac?) - most will let you "Save as" when the pic is open and you can change formats as well as constraining sizes there. Or sometimes you have to do File - Export and stick it on your desktop (or wherever) to get this dialogue box, so that the exported version is the only one altered. I found that you need very little to publish on the web, I have been constraining to about 100 - 200 but maybe even this is much bigger than you need, but it certainly uploads quickly and looks just as good.
I don't know a lot about this as I have just learnt how to do it myself so I could send some wedding photos to my cousin in South Africa - initally I gave her a 3 hour download that she ended up not receiving!
So you're not alone.....
I'm sure some of the more technically minded here will be able to help more!
Good Luck with the website!

It's a computer that has XP. I think the program used is photoshop, but am not sure!! I've got Paint if that's of any use.

Do a search for "Microsoft Powertoys", go to the site, and you'll find a photo resizer download for XP.
Very quick, very simple, free. All you need to do after installing it is right-click on an image file, select "resize pictures", and select the size.

This is the easiest way to re-size photo's. It's a "right click" on the photo icon deal, very easy.
