Without wishing to offend :D
Does anyone else not really care about the cricket?
I know most people can't understand why I watch cars racing round a track every fortnight, so I can understand why people are very passionate about it.
What I don't like is when the press get hold of something and run and run with it. I am not that keen on football either, though I watch International games. I noticed that the England team are not in favour at the moment.I wonder if the cricket wasn't on whether the press would be so down on the football team?
I think sometimes people can be very fickle!
Last week a british team won the Italian GP in F1. No-one was really bothered.
Plus I don't get cricket, so that is probably why I don't watch it.
Anyway good luck to the England side (or whatever they call themselves) and I hope the press still love you tomorrow! :D
PS: I think Shane Warne looks a bit like the gay hairdresser out of Cutting It!! :hihi:
I don't get cricket either  but I turned it on at 10.25 just to hear Jerusalem being sung [it's my favourite] and then turned over

I am not that bothered about formula one (but i dont want to upset you Tortoise so I will say well done to the british team that won the other day, whoever they are!)

I don't care about sport in general (typical girlie girl there I'm afraid). I watch occasionally because hubby puts it on, but it just doesn't do anything for me. :(
I only learnt last week what the cricket scores mean, like 247-2, I still don't understand the rest of it.
I even managed to get through the whole of my school life without learning the proper rules to netball or hockey!
Sorry, but I find most sport an incredibly boring excuse for lots of telly advertising.
Ooh I bet have upset some people now.

It was Mclaren and the driver was the rather scrummy Montoya.
If anyone shouts at me for this I will just put my head back in my shell. :P
I don't do football, I don't do cricket, the only sport I do do is Formula one, but... I'm a Ferrari fan (Schumacher of course) So it's not worth me watching F1, we are doing sooo badly  :(

Slightly of topic here, but still with sport!
Eeyore, LT is Ferrari mad too - must be the Italian in him!
We visited the Ferrari museum, shop and had our photos taken outside the Ferrari factory.
Mr T is a Mclaren fan and was mad on Senna. I like Ferrari, but Montoya is my favourite driver.
LT is Ferrari and Schumacher through and through. He has a flag on his wall along with his Italian flag. He even has red earmoulds for his hearing aids!
I am so jealous, a visit to the museum, my ideal holiday  I have the fleece, the t-shirts, the Scuda Bear, and my wedding anniversary prezzie was a Baby Luigi (black toy Ferrari horse), I've got Schumacher piccies round my desk and a calendar in my bedroom, Ferrari mad
Sorry to go off topic
Still don't do cricket though, so slow, at least F1 has pace
I'm lovin the cricket... It's one of life's pleasures to blob out watching cricket for 5 days!! :D
(Ps Rubens Barricello is way more scrummy  )

Off to have a cold shower now!! :hihi:
I don't like cricket, football, can't see the point of snooker but I do like boxing.
I don't understand criket and still don't get the off-side rule in football (even though Mr T has explained it to me a thousand times)
Snooker and darts must be the most boring thing ever shown on the telly!!

Mr DG will watch pretty much ANY televised sport, but it leaves me cold. To him football is almost a religion and he will watch endless hours of pundits just talking about it.
I might as well be single when there is sport on TV. I try talking to him and he only pretends to listen and answers in mumbles. Heaven forbid that anyone should stand in front of the TV!! However, the kids have twigged that they can ask permission for things while he watching TV and he says yes, because he's not really thought about it!

Well if I have got this right England appear to have won.
The press are doing all the puns they can that are usually rolled out when the England football team win something. You know "18 years of hurt" that kind of thing!!!
But well done to the English Cricket team, but I still won't be rushing out and buying a cricket racket!!! :P

The whole series was fantastic. Well done indeed, England! Have to admit the Aussies were great sports throughout, too - it had a real "feel good" factor this time :)
Yes, I agree, it was lovely to see the good sportmanship and genuine congratulations from the Aussies...it restores my faith in the world!! :D
I thought they were fantastic sports when they applauded Pietersen for getting his century - they must have felt so bad, but they all acted like real men! :)
I was so pleased when England won. Congratulations to the whole team!
