Greetings to those who dwell in the Tech Shed! :hi:
My little printer a Cannon BJC 2100 has decided to die on me, so I am in the market for a new printer. I want one for general home use and to print out pictures etc. Can anyone recommend a good one? I've heard that HP are the best, but would love to hear from a computer genius for help.
Thank you
DG

I'm using a Canon i250 at the moment. Havn't had any problems with it and find the quality of print very good. I do a lot of digital photography and providing you use the correct paper, the images turn out excellent. A good mid-range printer for domestic use.

How about an HP 'all in one' - its a printer, scanner and photocopier. Saw one in PC World for £99 (and its bound to be cheaper elsewhere)

I just had to buy a new one in a rush and got the Canon Pixma ip500 - I think about £50. It's perfectly OK for what I need, and I can get compatible cartridges nice and cheap. Worth comparing cartridge prices online maybe before taking the plunge? Eespecially if you do loads of printing :)

I've got an Epsom printer and it's fantastic for printing anything from draft copies to photos ...
The thing to consider is the cost of ink. Check online or maybe Staples.
One word of advice .... the 'generic' ink cartridges are not as good so don't base your estimated costs on those.
